Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo is the capital of the Dominican Rebublic and the oldest city in the New World. It was founded in 1496. Fortresses, palaces and chapels of the Colonial City of Santo Domingo date back to the early 16th century. Walking through these streets means travelling through the history.

North Coast excursions

The following tourist attractions are easy to reach from Puerto Plata, Playa Dorada, Sosua, Cabarete.

Paradise Island : Spend the day in Paradise at this remote island. Enjoy the white sand beach, crystal clear water, snorkelling, and mangrove lagoon. Great place to see.

Amber Museum, located in Victorian building in the centre of Puerto Plata on Duarte Street, showcases a unique collection of valuable Dominican amber. The museum offers guided tours in several languages, and has a shop where a full selection of Dominican amber jewellery can be obtained.
